On January 14, 2026, a group of armed individuals executed a brazen robbery at Poké Court, a Pokémon trading card shop located in New York City's Meatpacking District. Arrest of Alleged Wheelman
Julio Caseres Colina, a 27-year-old man, was arrested on January 21, 2026, and charged with Hobbs Act robbery conspiracy and aiding and abetting Hobbs Act robbery. According to a complaint filed in the Southern District of New York, Caseres allegedly acted as the getaway driver for the crew, dropping them off about 400 feet from the store before they smashed display cases and made off with the cards. He reportedly waited for the suspects for approximately seven minutes before driving them away from the scene.
Caseres is also accused of having driven the same crew during a previous theft on January 9, 2026, where they stole Pokémon merchandise valued at around $11,700 and approximately $1,000 in cash from a Queens shop. Following that heist, one of the suspects allegedly compensated Caseres with $100 for gas and various stolen items, which he later sold for profit.
