In a recent undercover operation, officers from Bangkok's metropolitan police bureau executed a spontaneous lion dance performance during a lunar new year temple fair. Their objective was to apprehend a suspected thief known for evading capture. Police Captain Lertvarit Lertvorapreecha noted that the team had less than 24 hours to prepare, resulting in a mix-up where he donned a colleague's male mask paired with a red silk dress and tactical shoes. Despite the hasty preparations, the disguise proved effective, allowing officers to surprise the suspect, who was subsequently arrested for stealing Buddhist artefacts valued at £47,717.
