Villa Fayoum, located in the village of Tunis on the southern shore of Qarun Lake, has recently opened its doors, promising a unique travel experience in Egypt's Fayoum Oasis. The villa, created by Florian Amereller and Zeina Aboukheir, offers an intimate setting with twelve suites, combining exquisite design with local craftsmanship. Amereller, a lawyer turned hospitality entrepreneur, recognized the potential for a niche travel product in Egypt, emphasizing the importance of architecture, design, and craftsmanship.

Aboukheir, who previously developed Luxor’s Al Moudira Hotel, collaborated closely with Amereller on the aesthetic of Villa Fayoum. Aboukheir describes the villa as a “curation of eras,” showcasing a variety of antiques and local crafts, including bedding and linens produced by the Cairo-based design firm Malaika.
