Finneas O’Connell to Score Season 2 of Netflix's "Beef"

Finneas O’Connell, a two-time Academy Award and eleven-time Grammy Award-winning musician, will compose the score for the second season of Netflix and A24’s anthology series "Beef," set to premiere on April 16, 2026. This season will consist of eight episodes and features a new cast and storyline, following the success of the first season, which starred Steven Yeun and Ali Wong.

O’Connell has dedicated the past year to developing original music for "Beef," stating, “I probably watched every scene 100 times while I scored the show and I felt it every time.” His previous work includes scoring for HBO Max's "The Fallout" and B.J. Novak’s "Vengeance," as well as composing for Alfonso Cuarón’s Apple TV+ series "Disclaimer." O’Connell is also known for his collaborations with his sister, Billie Eilish, including the Academy Award-winning song "What Was I Made For?" from the film "Barbie."
