Kapoor Family Challenges Property Claim in Madras High Court

Film producer Boney Kapoor, along with his daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, has initiated legal proceedings in the Madras High Court concerning a civil suit related to a 4.7-acre property in Chennai, originally purchased by the late actress A. Sridevi in 1988. The case arises from a claim made by Chandrabanu and her children, M.C. Sivakami and M.C. Natarajan, who assert that they are entitled to a share of the property. The Kapoor family contends that the marriage of Chandrabanu to M.C. Chandrasekaran, the original owner of the land, was invalid due to bigamy, as it occurred while he was still married to another woman.
