This research examined Danish health registries and found that women who took semaglutide or liraglutide before knowing they were pregnant had an 84% higher relative risk of preterm birth compared to those who did not use these medications. The risk was 70% higher for those taking liraglutide. Specifically, semaglutide was associated with an 11% higher absolute risk of preterm birth, while liraglutide showed a 9% increased risk.
