Taemin to Be Honored with Exhibit at Grammy Museum

The Grammy Museum will open a dedicated exhibit titled “TAEMIN: Performer. Artist. Icon.” on April 1, 2026, celebrating the career of Taemin, the first K-pop soloist to receive such recognition from the Los Angeles institution. The exhibit will run until May 25, 2026, and aims to provide fans with an in-depth look at Taemin's influential journey in the music industry.

The exhibit will showcase two iconic performance outfits: a striking red-and-black ensemble from Taemin's Ephemeral Gaze World Tour and an all-white outfit worn during his Veil concert and on The Kelly Clarkson Show in 2025. Accompanying these garments will be Taemin's customized in-ear monitors, a white stage microphone, his official lightstick, and a handwritten note addressed to his fans. Taemin expressed his sentiments about the exhibit, stating, “Each performance is a story I share with my fans. These outfits and artifacts hold memories of those moments on stage. I hope visitors can feel the passion and love for music that has guided my journey.”

Taemin, born Lee Taemin, began his career at the age of 14 as a member of the K-pop group SHINee, which played a pivotal role in popularizing K-pop globally. The group achieved significant success, with their single “Lucifer” reaching No. 3 on the World Digital Song Sales chart, among 36 entries on the chart, including 23 Top 10 hits. As a solo artist, Taemin debuted in 2014 with his album Ace and has since released seven entries on the World Albums chart, accumulating 15 hits on the World Digital Song Sales chart. His single “Veil” reached No. 3 last year, matching the peak of his 2016 hit “Press Your Number.” Additionally, Taemin is a member of SuperM, whose self-titled debut EP topped the Billboard 200.

Kelsey Goelz, curator at the Grammy Museum, remarked on Taemin's impact, stating, “His distinctive performances, innovative style, and artistic vision have helped shape the global rise of K-pop. We’re honored to showcase these iconic stage outfits and artifacts that celebrate his artistry and cultural impact.”

In addition to the exhibit, Taemin is set to perform at Coachella 2026, marking his first major U.S. festival appearance. He recently concluded his Ephemeral Gaze World Tour, which included sold-out shows across the U.S., Latin America, and Europe, and began 2026 with a sold-out concert in Las Vegas. Following this, he signed with Galaxy Corporation, the same agency representing fellow K-pop artist G-Dragon.
