Blue Origin's Ambitious NEO Hunter Mission for Planetary Defense

Blue Origin, the aerospace company founded by Amazon co-founder Jeff Bezos, has announced plans for a "Near-Earth Objects (NEO) Hunter mission concept for planetary defense." This initiative, developed in collaboration with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), aims to explore multiple asteroid-deflection techniques to protect Earth from potential threats posed by near-Earth objects. The mission will utilize Blue Origin's in-development spacecraft platform, Blue Ring, which is designed for refueling, transporting, and hosting satellites.
