Vital Voices Global Leadership Awards Celebrate Women Leaders

The Vital Voices Global Leadership Awards, an annual fundraising event supporting the nonprofit's mission to empower women leaders, will take place on April 23 at the Perelman Performing Arts Center in New York City. This year, NBCUniversal Entertainment chair Donna Langley and tech activist Tracy Chou are among the distinguished honorees. Langley will receive the Trailblazer Award for her commitment to amplifying diverse stories and storytellers in the entertainment industry. Chou, founder and CEO of Block Party, is one of the inaugural recipients of the Susan Wojcicki Tech for Impact Award, which recognizes women leveraging technology to address pressing global challenges.

Other notable honorees include Seyi Akiwowo, who will also receive the Susan Wojcicki award for her advocacy against online abuse through her organization, Glitch. Additionally, Susie Wolff, Shirin Musa, and Farwiza Farhan will be recognized for their significant contributions in their respective fields. Wolff will receive the Icon Award for her groundbreaking career in motorsport, while Musa will be honored for her work in ending forced and honor-based violence through her grassroots organization, Femmes for Freedom. Farhan will be recognized for her environmental leadership in protecting Indonesia’s Leuser Ecosystem.
