DreamWorks Animation Unveils Trailer for "Forgotten Island"

DreamWorks Animation has released the first trailer for its upcoming animated feature, "Forgotten Island," set to premiere on September 25, 2026. The film features H.E.R. and Liza Soberano as Jo and Raissa, two best friends facing the prospect of separation after high school. Their last night together takes a magical turn when they discover a portal leading to realms inspired by Filipino folklore, populated by shapeshifters, demons, witches, and monsters. The narrative explores themes of friendship and nostalgia as the characters navigate challenges that test their bond.

"Forgotten Island" is written and directed by Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado, who drew inspiration from their own friendship, which began during their work on "Kung Fu Panda 2."
