Reddit Implements Human Verification for Suspected Bot Accounts

Reddit has announced a new verification process aimed at ensuring that accounts exhibiting “automated or otherwise fishy behavior” are operated by humans. CEO Steve Huffman outlined these measures in a recent Reddit post, emphasizing the platform's commitment to combating the influx of bots, particularly as artificial intelligence becomes increasingly prevalent on the Internet. Huffman stated, “As AI becomes a bigger part of the Internet, we want to make sure that when you’re on Reddit, you know when you’re talking to a person and when you’re not.”
