Vice Studios Announces New Executive Leadership Team

Vice Studios president Amy Powell has unveiled her executive team, marking a significant step in the studio's strategic direction. The newly appointed executives include Adam Kassan as executive vice president of scripted film and television, Cat Lawson as executive vice president of unscripted content, Claire Marshall as head of international scripted, and Paul Randle as managing director of Vice Studios UK and global head of business affairs. This announcement was made on Thursday, reflecting Powell's vision for the studio's future.

Adam Kassan, based in Los Angeles, will oversee global scripted strategy. His previous roles include president of film & TV at Khalabo Ink Society and positions at notable companies such as Paramount Pictures and Miramax. Kassan highlighted the team's commitment to storytelling, stating, “This team brings a wealth of experience and a fearless approach to storytelling.”

Cat Lawson, who will manage the unscripted team globally from the UK, has a background as joint managing director at Banijay UK’s Remarkable Entertainment, where she worked on projects like Netflix’s “Building the Band.” Claire Marshall will lead international scripted development and production, while Paul Randle brings experience from House Productions and Amazon Studios to his role overseeing Vice Studios UK.

Vice Studios plans to invest up to $500 million in original scripted, unscripted, and branded content over the next three to five years. Recent projects include the investigative series “Ross Kemp: Lost Boys,” “Deadly Men,” and “Out of Bounds.” The studio is also developing “Clip Bait” and aims to franchise its successful series “Gangs of London.” Additionally, Vice Studios has acquired the adaptation rights to the iconic “Payday” game franchise, in collaboration with Starbreeze Entertainment.
