Since the onset of the Iran war, solar panel sales in the UK have surged significantly, with Octopus Energy reporting a 54% increase in sales compared to the previous month. Households are increasingly opting for larger solar arrays, with many choosing systems featuring 12 panels instead of the standard 10. Additionally, sales of heat pumps have risen by over 50%, while electric vehicle charger systems have seen a 20% increase in sales. Octopus Energy's chief executive, Greg Jackson, noted a "huge jolt" in solar sales, particularly since mid-March, when inquiries rose by 27%.
