Promoting Skill Development and Self-Employment Among Students in Karnataka

In a recent initiative aimed at enhancing career prospects for students in Karnataka, Deputy Director of Public Instruction Udayakumar D. highlighted the importance of skill development and self-employment. During the inauguration of a district-level vocational and career guidance unit and career fair at Vasanth Mahal, he stressed that these elements are crucial in today’s competitive job market. Udayakumar noted that many students face uncertainty regarding their career paths after completing their education, and initiatives like this fair are essential for guiding them toward informed choices.

Udayakumar urged students to look beyond traditional employment routes and consider entrepreneurship as a viable alternative. He emphasized that without clear goals and proactive engagement, such programs would not achieve their intended outcomes.
