The Miami Marlins have announced a multi-year radio broadcast and streaming partnership with Audacy, designating Sports WQAM (560 AM and 104.3 FM) as the flagship station for Marlins baseball across South Florida. This agreement will see WQAM air all regular season games, including live play-by-play coverage, pregame, and postgame shows. Additionally, broadcasts will be accessible via the Audacy app, enhancing digital reach for fans. This partnership marks a return to WQAM, which served as the Marlins' flagship station during the franchise's inaugural season in 1993.

Significance of the Partnership

Caroline O'Connor, President of Business for the Marlins, emphasized the deep connection between Marlins baseball and its fans in South Florida, stating that reuniting with WQAM is particularly meaningful. She noted that Audacy's extensive broadcast and digital capabilities will facilitate a stronger connection with the community. Claudia Menegus, Audacy's Regional President, described the agreement as a "homecoming," highlighting the importance of reuniting two iconic South Florida sports brands. Menegus expressed a commitment to providing fans with comprehensive coverage and access to Marlins baseball.

Expanded Programming

Beyond game broadcasts, the partnership will feature expanded team programming on WQAM. This will include interviews with manager Clayton McCullough, players, and executives, as well as offseason content and updates aimed at fostering year-round engagement with fans.

Upcoming Season

The Marlins are set to open the 2026 season on March 27, hosting the Colorado Rockies at loanDepot park. This new broadcasting agreement is expected to enhance the fan experience and solidify the Marlins' presence in the South Florida sports landscape.
