Celebrating Pride: NHL Teams Host Annual Pride Nights

The New York Islanders are set to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community with their annual Pride Night on March 26, 2026, during a game against the Dallas Stars at UBS Arena. This marks the fifth consecutive year that the Islanders will display rainbow-colored logos on the dasher boards, symbolizing their support for the LGBTQIA+ community. The event will feature various fan activations, including custom pride pins, a claw machine for pregame entertainment, and a pride-themed photo booth located near Section 225. Long Island native Dan Kiernan will perform the National Anthem, adding a local touch to the festivities. The Islanders are collaborating with two Hockey with a Heart Charities: Long Island Pride Lions and the NYC Pride Hockey Association, further emphasizing their commitment to community engagement.

On the same day, the Nashville Predators will host their 11th Annual Pride Night, featuring a pre-game plaza party at Bridgestone Arena starting at 5 p.m. CT. The plaza party will be co-hosted by Zack McCann and Zak Woodward from iHeart Radio and will include a performance by Alanna Royale. Attendees can enjoy demonstrations from the Nashville Roller Derby and Nashville Junior Roller Derby, as well as Cyr wheel performances by Kristen Teffeteller. An interactive mural titled "What Does Pride Mean to You," in partnership with Nashville Pride, will allow fans to express their thoughts on pride.

Additionally, specialty Pride jerseys featuring this season’s Pride logo, designed by local artist Tiffany Evans, will be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting LGBTQ+ organizations in Nashville through the Preds Foundation’s Helper Grants program.
