CatVideoFest Returns to Theaters in 2026

CatVideoFest, a celebration of feline-themed videos, is set to return to theaters nationwide on August 7, 2026. Founded in 2016 by Will Braden, the festival showcases a compilation of the latest and most entertaining cat videos, featuring cats in various amusing scenarios. The event has been described as “73 minutes of nonstop cat videos,” reminiscent of early YouTube content and social media feeds filled with cat-related humor.

This year, CatVideoFest will expand significantly, increasing its screening locations from approximately 200 to over 330 across the United States and Canada. Internationally, the festival will also be screened in countries including Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Brazil, Denmark, the United Kingdom, and France. The festival has proven to be financially beneficial for theaters, grossing over $1 million domestically and nearly $2 million worldwide since its inception.

Will Braden attempted to launch a DogVideoFest, but it did not receive the same level of enthusiasm as its feline counterpart.
