Ukraine is establishing 10-year defense partnerships with three Gulf countries—Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE)—as the U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran continues into its second month. President Volodymyr Zelensky signed an agreement with Qatar on March 28, following a visit to Saudi Arabia where he secured a deal with Riyadh. An agreement with the UAE is expected to be finalized shortly. Zelensky emphasized that the primary focus of these partnerships will be on weapons production, the exchange of military expertise, and resource sharing. He stated, "During these 10 years, we will engage in co-production. We will build factories both in Ukraine and in these countries."
