Escalating Russian Attacks on Ukraine: Casualties and Infrastructure Damage

This included a missile strike, 24 airstrikes, and over 400 drone attacks, alongside more than 300 artillery strikes. Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, noted significant infrastructure damage, with 76 reports of destruction to residential buildings, outbuildings, and vehicles.

In the Mykolaiv region, drone attacks resulted in injuries to ten individuals, including seven children aged 10 to 16, when debris from a downed drone struck a public recreation area. Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, reported that three victims were in serious condition, while others sustained moderate injuries. Additional damage was noted in Voznesensk district, where a drone strike affected an educational facility and a power line.

Ukrainian officials have condemned the ongoing attacks, emphasizing the targeting of civilian areas and infrastructure. Emergency services remain active in affected regions, assessing damage and providing assistance to residents. Authorities have warned of the continued risk of attacks, particularly in southern Ukraine.

Critics of the Russian military strategy argue that the indiscriminate targeting of civilian infrastructure constitutes a violation of international law.
