Wife of Murderer Pleads Guilty to Hiding Evidence

Gurpreet Kaur, 31, the wife of convicted murderer Rajinder Kaur, has pleaded guilty to attempting to pervert the course of justice by hiding evidence related to her husband's crime. Kaur appeared in the High Court at Dunedin, where her actions were revealed to have taken place in the aftermath of the brutal murder of Gurjit Singh, 27, on January 28, 2024. Rajinder Kaur, 35, was found guilty of the murder following a jury trial in December 2023 and is scheduled for sentencing.

Rajinder Kaur attacked Gurjit Singh with a knife purchased just hours before the incident, inflicting at least 46 stab wounds and attempting decapitation.
