Lawmakers Depart Ethics Scandal

Representative Sam Graves (R-Mo.) announced his retirement, the 36th Republican departure ahead of the midterms, bringing the total to 58 lawmakers leaving Congress.
Democrats Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA) and Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX) urged Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick to resign after the House Ethics Committee found her guilty of multiple ethics violations, including alleged misuse of federal disaster funds.

House Democrats are demanding the resignation of Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-Fla.) after the House Ethics Committee found her guilty of over 50 counts, including misusing $5 million in FEMA funds for her campaign.
Following a public hearing, sanctions will be decided in April.
