The London Academy of Excellence (LAE), a sixth-form college in East London, has gained recognition for its impressive track record of sending students to prestigious universities, including Oxford and Cambridge. In the most recent admissions cycle, 62 out of 257 students secured places at Oxbridge, while 234 were accepted into Russell Group universities. The school, founded in 2012 with support from six independent schools, aims to provide opportunities for students from less affluent backgrounds, receiving nearly 7,000 applications for just 375 places in 2025.
