A humpback whale, measuring approximately 12 to 15 meters (39 to 49 feet), has been the center of attention along Germany's Baltic coast after becoming stranded multiple times. On March 28, the whale managed to free itself from a sandbank after spending six days in distress. Rising waters aided its escape, and it began swimming towards the open sea. Despite this progress, experts expressed concerns about the whale's health, noting that it appeared weakened and sick. Burkard Baschek, a marine scientist, indicated that the whale's breathing rate had decreased, and it was showing less activity, raising alarms about its ability to navigate back to the Atlantic.
