Sony Pictures Classics Joins CinemaCon Amid Row K's Withdrawal

Sony Pictures Classics (SPC) will participate in the inaugural CinemaCon Film Showcase on April 13, 2026, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. This addition comes as a result of Row K Entertainment's withdrawal due to financial difficulties. Row K, which launched less than a year ago, faced significant challenges following the poor performance of its debut film, Gus Van Sant’s “Dead Man’s Wire,” which grossed only $2.5 million against a $10 million budget. The company has since experienced mounting debts and delays in releasing upcoming films, leading to the departure of key executives, including president Megan Colligan and chief marketing officer Ben Carlson.
