In response to Trump's attacks, Dan Point, president of AFM’s Local 802 in Manhattan, and Marc Sazer, president of Local 47 in Los Angeles, released a joint statement condemning the personal attacks on Springsteen. "We cannot remain silent as one of our most celebrated members is singled out and personally attacked by the president of the United States," they stated. Springsteen is a member of both Local 47 and Local 399 in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

During the opening night of his tour in Minneapolis, Springsteen delivered a speech that criticized Trump's administration, describing it as "corrupt, incompetent, racist, reckless, and treasonous." He called for a collective choice of "hope over fear" and "democracy over authoritarianism." This performance followed his previous support for the American Civil Liberties Union's campaign against one of Trump's executive orders aimed at changing birthright citizenship laws.

Trump's comments about Springsteen have not been limited to social media. A White House representative previously referred to Springsteen as a "loser" and accused him of suffering from "Trump Derangement Syndrome." In his latest post, Trump reiterated these sentiments, attacking Springsteen's appearance and urging his followers to save their money by boycotting the artist's concerts.

Despite the backlash from Trump, Springsteen remains undeterred. He has stated that he is not concerned about political repercussions and believes in the cultural role of his music.
