Yuen Woo-ping Honored at the 28th Far East Film Festival

His directorial credits also include “Iron Monkey” and “True Legend.” Beyond directing, Yuen has choreographed action sequences for numerous acclaimed international films over the past 25 years, including the Wachowski sisters’ “Matrix” trilogy, Ang Lee’s “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,” and Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill” series. His work on the “Ip Man” franchise further solidified his reputation as a master of martial arts cinema.

At the festival, Yuen will also showcase his latest film, adapted from the award-winning Chinese manhua series “Biao Ren.” The film follows a mercenary warrior navigating the dangers of China’s late Sui Dynasty while escorting a wanted man.
