According to an analysis of Social Security data by Get Golden Visa, approximately 15,465 American retirees currently receive their benefits while residing in Italy. This positions Italy as the fourth most popular retirement destination in Europe for U.S. citizens, following Canada, Japan, and Mexico globally.
