Early Beginnings and Passion for Wrestling
Scarlett Bordeaux's path to professional wrestling diverges from the traditional routes often taken by aspiring wrestlers. Her journey began unexpectedly during her first job at a movie theater, where she was introduced to independent wrestling by co-workers who were avid fans. Instead of attending her high school prom, Bordeaux chose to accompany them to an independent wrestling event, which sparked her passion for the sport. "I loved it. I thought it was amazing," she recalled. This experience led her to seek involvement in wrestling, initially volunteering to help with setup and cleanup at events.
Bordeaux's official entry into the wrestling world occurred when a promoter asked if she owned a "sexy Santa costume" for a performance involving a piledriver. Despite her unfamiliarity with the move, she agreed and was welcomed into the wrestling community with a bucket of snow, marking the start of her career. Following this initiation, she competed in various independent promotions, earning several championships along the way.
Transition to Major Promotions
Bordeaux's dedication and talent eventually led her and her husband, fellow wrestler Killer Kross, to sign with WWE in 2019, where they had a second stint in 2022. Their contracts with WWE concluded in 2025, after which they both signed with Major League Wrestling (MLW), where they currently perform. Bordeaux expressed her enjoyment of the diverse roles she can take on in MLW, stating, "I feel like I’m getting to do everything right now."
Challenges and Injuries
Throughout her career, Bordeaux has faced physical challenges, including a notable incident involving a choke slam from wrestler Keith Walker. She described the experience as severe, stating, "my knees hit my forehead, like that’s how hard I was bent in half." Although the move was well-received by the audience, it resulted in a stinger that left her limping. Her colleagues advised her against performing that move again, with Bordeaux affirming, "That was the absolute worst bump I’ve ever taken."
The Rise of MLW's Women's Division
Bordeaux is currently part of a growing women's division in MLW, which has seen an influx of talent, including Shoko Nakajima, Shotzi Blackheart, and the newly signed Lady Frost. Bordeaux praised her peers, noting, "They’re very, very talented," and expressed excitement about the competitive environment. She highlighted the camaraderie among the wrestlers, stating, "I’ll beat the absolute crap out of each other when we need to, but love them to death."
Looking Ahead
As Bordeaux continues her journey in MLW, she is set to participate in upcoming events, including a match against a yet-to-be-named opponent. She expressed enthusiasm for the future, stating, "I’m feeling very, very focused, and I’m kind of just having more fun than I’ve ever had with wrestling." The growth of MLW's women's division and Bordeaux's ongoing contributions signal a promising trajectory for her career in professional wrestling.
