The screenplay is being crafted by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, known for their work on "American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson." Members of the Grateful Dead, including Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, and Mickey Hart, along with Jerry Garcia's daughter Trixie Garcia and talent manager Bernie Cahill, are serving as executive producers.
