Hong Kong's Revamped Values Education Curriculum Emphasizes Patriotism

Hong Kong authorities have introduced a revised Values Education Curriculum Framework, set to be implemented by 2026, which aims to instill a sense of national pride among students as young as six. The Education Bureau published this framework, which applies to all government, aided, special, and private schools, including those under the Direct Subsidy Scheme. The Standing Committee on Values Education, part of the Curriculum Development Council, prepared the document to guide schools in planning and executing their values education curriculum.
