Israeli Navy Expands Operations

Since 2023, the Israeli Navy has expanded capabilities, conducting more than 154 attacks.
The Israeli Navy conducted 95 attacks in Iran, with 68 by United States forces under Israeli intelligence.
Shayetet 13, the Navy's elite commando unit, completed a long-range operation far from Israel.
It destroyed nearly all Hezbollah ship-to-ship missiles and struck Lebanon and Gaza.
As it expands, the Navy will receive submarines and corvettes to boost long-range capacity.

Salama Steps Down

Vice Adm. David Saar Salama, head of the Israeli Navy, stepped down after four and a half years, including more than two years of wartime leadership.
His tenure included significant operational expansion and responses to the Oct. 7 Hamas attack.
An internal probe criticized the navy's initial response but noted that Hamas' maritime capabilities have since been severely degraded.
The navy has conducted strikes against Hezbollah, destroying much of its missile arsenal, and targeted Syrian assets, destroying 15 naval vessels.
The navy is set to enhance its capabilities with new submarines and drone carriers.
