Mark Lubell Appointed Executive Director of Sag Harbor Cinema Arts Center

Mark Lubell has been appointed as the executive director of the Sag Harbor Cinema Arts Center, as announced by the organization following a national search conducted by PBR Executive Search. Lubell, a resident of Sag Harbor and a native New Yorker, brings extensive experience from various cultural institutions and media organizations. His career has focused on the intersection of art, technology, and commerce.

Lubell previously served as the executive director of the International Center of Photography (ICP) from 2013 to 2022, a period marked by significant growth and transformation for the institution. During his tenure, he successfully raised over $90 million to support expansion efforts and the long-term sustainability of ICP. He played a crucial role in the acquisition and development of ICP's permanent home on Ludlow Street in New York City, while also expanding the center's focus on new media and contemporary visual culture.

Earlier in his career, Lubell was the director of Magnum Photos from 2003 to 2011, where he led a digital transformation and organizational restructuring that resulted in new revenue streams.
