Bus Driver Pursued

Melaka police are pursuing a 36-year-old express bus driver after a viral video showed him driving with a woman on his lap.
The incident happened near the Bemban Rest and Recreational area on Sunday evening.
Jasin Superintendent Lee Robert emphasized the dangers, saying such behavior could distract the driver and endanger passengers.
Authorities have asked both the driver, who is married, and the woman to assist in the investigation.
The police have not yet clarified the nature of their relationship.

Bus Drivers Sentenced

On April 17 in Malacca, Arif Fahmi Abd Salam, a bus driver, and Nur Adila Najwa Ilham Ameerrullah were sentenced for dangerous driving after a video showed them on a bus with about 20 passengers.
Arif Fahmi Abd Salam received 12 months' imprisonment and RM5,000, while Nur Adila Najwa Ilham Ameerrullah received six months' imprisonment and RM5,000.
Both were disqualified from holding a driving license for five years.
