SpaceX Pursues Cursor Acquisition
- SpaceX offered to buy startup Cursor for $60 billion, said it could pay $10 billion for collaboration, and expects to postpone the deal until after its summer IPO.
- Cursor was about to close a $2 billion round valuing it at $50 billion, backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Thrive, Nvidia and Battery Ventures.
- If completed, SpaceX may fund the purchase with publicly traded stock and retain the whole Cursor team to compete with Anthropic and OpenAI.
