Bolojan Loses Majority
- Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan lost his parliamentary majority after seven PSD ministers resigned.
- The PSD said six of its ministers quit in opposition to Bolojan’s reform agenda.
- Bolojan refused to resign and will appoint interim ministers for 45 days.
- The crisis threatens Romania’s credit rating, raises borrowing costs, endangers €27 billion in EU funds and prompts far-right parties, including AUR with about 36 percent support, to plan no-confidence motions.
