History

Historical Context

On 12 July 2006 Hezbollah’s cross-border raid killed three Israeli soldiers and captured two, triggering a 34-day war in which Hezbollah fired roughly 4,000 rockets and Israel deployed thousands of troops. The 2006 UN-brokered cease-fire (Resolution 1701) limited hostilities but left drone use as a tactical legacy, a pattern echoed today by Israeli strikes on FPV drones.
