Metallica added 16 extra dates to its Sphere residency, extending it into 2027.
Metallica will play two shows at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, on November 19 and 21, with Suicidal Tendencies and Spiritbox opening and a No Repeat Weekend setlist.

Historical Context

In November 1993 Metallica issued Live Shit: Binge & Purge, a three-CD, three-video box that packaged concert footage and a booklet, pioneering the deluxe multi-format release. The success built on the massive 1991 Black Album tour and set a template later echoed by the 2025 super-deluxe Load set (15 CDs, six vinyls) and today’s ReLoad collection.
