JNIM-FLA Attack
- The weekend attacks were the first joint operation by Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM) and the Tuareg Azawad Liberation Front (FLA).
- Malian authorities imposed a nightly curfew, sealed Bamako airport and set up checkpoints after the attacks.
- Defence Minister Sadio Camara, his wife and two children were killed and 16 injured.
- The army withdrew from sites Labbezanga, and Sky Mali stopped flights to Gao and Mopti.
