UK Threat Level Raised to Severe After Golders Green Stabbing

On 30 April 2026 the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre upgraded the UK’s terrorism threat level from “substantial” (attack likely) to “severe” (attack highly likely within six months) after the Golders Green stabbing of two Jewish men.

Home Office said the rise reflects broader Islamist and extreme-right-wing threats, not just the Golders Green attack.
