Shell Expands Portfolio
- Apollo, Blackstone and KKR, using insurance-unit capital, are bidding $10-$15 billion for Shell’s 40% LNG Canada stake.
- CEO Wael Sawan said Shell is very comfortable with its LNG Canada position and may not cut its equity.
- Shell announced a $16.4 billion purchase of ARC Resources that will add about 370,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
- Shell’s $3.5 billion share buyback, split between London and the Netherlands, will finish by May 1.
