Albanese Pledges Reforms
- The Royal Commission into Antisemitism and Social Cohesion issued its 159-page interim report on 30 April 2026, containing 14 recommendations, five of which are classified for national security.
- The report said legal frameworks did not hinder the 14 December 2025 Bondi Beach attack, but noted coordination and resourcing shortfalls in intelligence and police.
- Prime Minister Anthony Albanese pledged to adopt all Commonwealth-relevant recommendations and urged states to cooperate on firearms reforms.
