NCAA Expands Tournament
- The NCAA announced that Division I basketball tournaments will expand from 68 to 76 teams in the 2027 season.
- The Opening Round will feature 12 games with 24 lowest-seeded qualifiers, three in Dayton, Ohio, and three west of the Eastern Time Zone.
- The NCAA projects more than $131 million in revenue for schools over six years, each unit about $350,000, raising tournament access to 21 % of Division I programs from 18 %.
