Caffeine Gum Inhibits

- Twenty adults aged 20-42, abstaining 12 hours from caffeine, chewed 200 mg caffeine gum for ten minutes on one day and placebo on another and testing began 30 minutes later.
- Caffeine lowered twitch intensity, raised inhibition at 19–21 ms, showed no effect with variable-stimulus method, and led researchers to advise avoiding caffeine before tests.
