Tyler Shields' “Chapter 51” Secures North American VOD Deal with Cineverse

Cineverse has acquired the North American video-on-demand (VOD) rights to Tyler Shields' feature film “Chapter 51.” Written, directed, and shot by Shields, the film is slated for a VOD release on June 23, 2026. The deal was negotiated by Cineverse’s Dan Fisher and XYZ Films’ Nate Bolotin on behalf of the filmmakers.

Shields filmed the project on IMAX, VistaVision and Ultra70 Panavision cameras and used Kodak film stock for visual texture. The lean crew model allowed the principal cast to serve as key crew members, a practice Shields highlighted as central to his vision. The plot follows a $500 million fictional film set where three actresses are murdered by an unidentified “Hollywood Killer,” prompting a former FBI agent to reopen the case years later.
