UCL Finds Arts
- UCL researchers found weekly arts participation slows ageing by 4% in the United Kingdom.
- The 11 May 2026 study of 3,556 UK adults using DunedinPoAm, DunedinPACE and PhenoAge found weekly arts participants were about one year younger, versus half a year for exercisers.
- Monthly arts linked to 3% slower ageing, three-times-yearly to 2% in 40 + adults, with Prof. Daisy Fancourt and Dr. Feifei Bu describing arts as a health-promoting behaviour.
