Floating Fan Zone

Seattle Sounders FC and Seattle Reign FC will dock a barge at Pier 62, Waterfront Park, for the FIFA World Cup 2026. The “Seattle Soccer Celebration powered by Lenovo” will host soccer, live match viewings, cultural events and parties from June 11 to July 6, and is one of four fan zones.

Stakeholders

Seattle’s host status prompted the Sounders, Reign, RAVE Foundation, Friends of Waterfront Park and Lenovo to develop the floating venue. RAVE’s “52 Fields” program, which built 52 free mini-pitches statewide, will use the barge as its symbolic 52nd field. Lenovo is the presenting sponsor and Official Technology Partner of the World Cup.

Data

The barge measures 286 ft × 76 ft, holds ~500 guests, and draws >100,000 fans across the 26-day tournament; it serves as the 52nd RAVE mini-pitch.

Official Statements

Officials called project a “defining moment” that showcases Seattle’s ability to blend sport, culture and community. RAVE’s Ashley Fosberg said the floating pitch fulfills goal of free soccer for every Washington community. Friends of Waterfront Park’s Joy Shigaki highlighted the park’s civic role, and Lenovo’s Milo Speranzo said partnership will enhance fan experiences worldwide.
