Rolling Stones Debut AI-Deepfaked “In the Stars” Video Ahead of *Foreign Tongues* Album

The Rolling Stones released a four-minute music video for the new single “In the Stars,” directed by Francois Rousselet. Using Deep Voodoo’s deepfake system—developed by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone—the band’s icons Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood appear as CGI versions of themselves from the late 1970s. Actress Odessa A’zon dances at the party and briefly licks Jagger’s face.

Deep Voodoo previously supplied deepfake effects for Kendrick Lamar’s 2022 “The Heart Part 5” and Billie Joel’s 2024 “Turn the Lights Back On.” The Stones have discussed AI publicly: guitarist Keith Richards called it “a tool or a toy,” while Mick Jagger noted the band already operates in an “AI world.”

The video’s de-aged subjects are Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood. Actress Odessa A’zon appears as the party’s focal point. Francois Rousselet directed; Deep Voodoo’s team, led by executive Jennifer Howell, supplied the AI models. Producer Andrew Watt, who also oversaw the 2023 *Hackney Diamonds* album, produced the new record, which features guests Paul McCartney, Robert Smith, Chad Smith and Steve Winwood, plus posthumous drums from Charlie Watts.

The 25th Stones studio album, *Foreign Tongues*, arrives on 10 July 2026 and contains 14 tracks. Singles “In the Stars” and “Rough and Twisted” lead a list that includes “Jealous Lover,” “Mr. Charm,” “Divine Intervention,” “Ringing Hollow,” “Never Wanna Lose You,” “Hit Me in the Head,” “You Know I’m No Good,” “Some of Us,” “Covered in You,” “Side Effects,” “Back in Your Life,” and “Beautiful Delilah.” Guest contributors are Paul McCartney, Robert Smith, Chad Smith, Steve Winwood and Charlie Watts (posthumous).
