Ministry Unveils Tombs

Egyptian officials announced that the two 2015 accidental-discovery tombs have been fully restored and opened to visitors.
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities inaugurated the restored tombs of Rabuya and his son Samut on Luxor’s West Bank.
Rabuya and Samut served as door keepers of the god Amun, according to the Ministry.
Secretary-general Hisham El-Leithy highlighted agricultural, craft, wine scenes and proximity to Valley of the Kings.

Director-general Abdelghaffar Wagdy hailed the plaster wall as a unique, never-replicated artifact of global heritage.
Egypt officially placed the original Tutankhamun plaster wall on public display at the Luxor Museum.
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities said the wall bears Tutankhamun’s seals and guard markings.
The newly opened tomb walls illustrate agriculture, harvest, crafts, bread making, pottery and wine production.
