The narrative follows Darlene, a trailer-park influencer who constructs a false pregnancy to attract online followers. As the deception collapses, her pursuit of viral validation escalates into murder, abduction, and a violent flight across the Southern United States. The film is described as a “high-octane, pitch-black Southern Gothic fever dream” that blends elements of *Raising Arizona* and *Nightcrawler*, while satirizing generational poverty, terminal narcissism, and the contemporary hunger for digital immortality.

King will portray the title character, while Lyonne is cast as Annie. Lyonne, a five-time Emmy nominee, is known for *Orange Is the New Black* and *Russian Doll*, which she co-created with Amy Poehler. Both actors also serve as producers: King and Emma Comley through Hooligan Dreamers Prods., Lyonne through Animal Pictures, and Lambert through Vertical Films. Lambert brings extensive genre experience to the project. The screenplay is written by Chad Darnell.
