Capt. Maoz Recanati Killed
On 16 May 2026, Capt. Maoz Israel Recanati, 24, a Golani Brigade 12th Battalion platoon commander from Itamar, was killed by an explosive drone near the Litani River in southern Lebanon. The IDF posthumously promoted him to captain.
Drone Escalation
